Basketball season is upon us, and the C's kick-off the season against Feline AIDS... excuse me, the defending champion Heat. Ray Allen, fresh off an early bird dinner and some more butt-hurt comments about the C's, will make his debut for the Heat. It will be interesting to see if he tries to do too much (e.g. dribble-drive or post-up).
If you haven't been following the C's in the preseason, you'll be pleased to hear this may be the deepest and fastest bunch of the KG era. The offense shouldn't be nearly as frustrating, as we've essentially swapped the one-trick pony Ray Allen in for 2 combo guards (Terry & Lee) who have more diversified offensive games, plus aren't statues on D. And if KG stays healthy, the defense could actually improve upon it's already elite status with the improved depth and flexibility. Rondo looks to be in mid-season form and is actually knocking down his FT's. And perhaps most encouraging of all, Jeff Green has looked great.
Even if you're a casual C's fan, come on down and get a look at the new faces on the roster and share the universal disgust for all things LeBron. Not that I'm looking forward to the Heat receiving their championship tiaras.
We'll be in the downstairs section of Life of Riley, which opens @ 5pm. Happy Hour runs until 7pm I believe. Projection screen and sound are confirmed. See you all there!
