Led by drummer Tommy Benedetti (John Browns Body) and Johnny Trama (Nate Wilson Group) on guitar, Dub Apocalypse is an all-star combination of Boston's best musicians. Playing an impressive array of original dub reggae instrumentals, with wild improvisation and Benedetti's dirty break beats, this band never disappoints. Johnny Trama has been a staple in the areas music scenes for years, and his emotional blues driven guitar licks can send you soaring to the stratosphere. You can often find Johnny..well...everywhere, playing with...everyone. He has defined the word 'ringer' in the Boston music scene for more than a decade.

The band is often joined by Benedetti's band mate in John Browns Body Nate Edgar on bass. The two of them work seamlessly together laying it down in this improvisational side project. The band has an ever evolving line up where they are able to feature some more of Boston's highest caliber players. The ultra talented, legendary ladies man Timo Shanko (G-Love) is another key member of the band. Whether he is filling in for Edgar on bass or joining him on Saxophone, Shanko's stage presence is undeniable. Aaron Bellamy (Nephrok! All-stars) is another pro on the bass who moonlights for the band from time to time. Any way you slice it, the backbone of this band is always unbending, and the involuntary dancing of its spectators that occurs will lay proof to that.

We can meet at the Cambridge Common restaurant bar (same buidling) before heading down. At 9:15pm, I will head downstairs to the bar

Tickets are $10 ($11.34 with service fee) and can be bought here:
