Yemen Blues

Yemen Blues, a super-group of top musicians from New York, Israel, and Uruguay, perform traditional Yemenite melodies fused with the world of blues, jazz and funk. Conceived from vocalist Ravid Kahalani’s vision, Yemen Blues mixes music of Yemen and West Africa with contemporary grooves from funk to mambo and the deep soul of old chants. Conjuring up a rich and diverse aural palette with the use of percussion, oud, horns, and strings, Yemen Blues coexists in both the past and present, at once timeless and modern. The collective is a true collaboration of top master musicians, its core including Ravid Kahalani, Omer Avital, Itamar Doari, Rony Iwryn, and Itamar Borochov.

For those that can make it and are driving, I believe there should be street parking available on the nearby side streets (not Huntington Ave necessarily, but close by). If nothing else, I usually see spots open on or near Gainesborough St., which is a few blocks away.

    From the MFA:

"Due to the inclement weather forecast for this evening, the 7:30 pm concert with Yemen Blues is being held in Remis Auditorium. Please be sure to leave chairs and blankets at home! Note that seating at the Remis Auditorium begins at 7 pm, and that neither food nor drink are permitted in the auditorium other than bottled water. Many of our dining venues are open if you’d like to arrive early and dine at the Museum, and reservations for Bravo can be made online.

If you have any questions you may contact us at[masked]-6975. Thank you for supporting our Music program, and we look forward to seeing you soon!"

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
