From July 26-27, WGBH, The Boston Globe, and Citizens Bank are bringing Summer Arts Weekend back to Boston. This free weekend event will again feature a dynamic variety of musical artists from across the classical, jazz, blues, folk, and Americana worlds as well as a number of new arts, food and cultural programs. I most want to see the Jesse Cook and The Soul Rebels performances which will be at 7pm and 8:15pm, so I am setting up the meetup for 6pm.
The schedule is here:
Let's meetup on the Boston Public Library Steps
Jesse Cook is a guitarist, producer, and composer who specializes in nuevo flamenco music, which combines rumba, jazz, and world music influences.
The Soul Rebels
Back for their second Summer Arts Weekend, the Soul Rebels have built a career around an eclectic live show that harnesses the power of horns and drums in the party-like atmosphere of a dance club.
This award-winning American Chicano rock band derives its sound from a mix of rock'n'roll, Tex-Mex, R&B, blues, soul, and traditional music.
