Interested in finding others with whom to socialize, have conversations, enjoy venues in the area? How are you spending your time? Would you like some company? I love sharing stories of good books, movies and even some TV shows (like Jon Stewart). Perhaps a good political discussion can stir some emotions. Sure we can all entertain ourselves but wouldn't the experiences be richer with a friend? The focus of this group would be forming the relationships and the bonds of friendship while doing fun activities. We would be like the song in Cheers..."where everyone knows your name..."

Why limit it to the sixty-year-olds you ask??? I don't always appreciate going to venues only to discover I am the "chaperone". I got to thinking in high school and college we were usually surrounded by people within a four year range of our age. Remember how outrageous it was for a senior to date a freshman?

People in their sixties (don't you just love that we are "sexagenarians!!!) are smart and interesting, have their lives pulled together (for the most part), hence the "savvy" description.

I want to have engaging activities that will be interesting to both sexes. Everyone knows the statistics about the number of women vs. the number of men that show up at singles events. So we probably won't be having cake decorating while shopping events. (I am not being sexist...I just don't decorate cakes and shopping make me weary.)
