Hi Everyone, this might be a dumb question, but who will be benefitting from the proceeds of the concert: Boulder Cello Project or VOW?
Just curious. If the Cell Project is the beneficiary, I'll try to make the time to attend. Thanks in advance for explaining. Another dumb question I have is about cello pads. How are these used? There was probably a demo and discussion at one of the Meetups I missed. See you on April 20th

(Everybody, meet Diana. Diana, meet everybody. Diana just started taking cello lessons from me.) The fund raiser is for the Boulder Cello Project. As far as I know, it's the only one in the state.

Playing Stephen's arrangement of Ashokan Farewell is actually on my "bucket list". It hasn't happened yet, but I remain confident. For now, I'll be satisfied to sit back, close my eyes, and just enjoy listening to VOW perform the latest iteration.

By the way, audience, Tanquedia is going to going to leave you breathless!

(And no, I'm not a paid supporter.)

Truth be told, the score has been long lost. All we have is our own parts I arranged. We've made some hand written changes to the parts. Once I convince the others to hand in the parts I can enter the everything back into Finale and make a new score with the changes. I've just been lazy, Susan. That's all it comes down to.

Hi Vicki, No dumb questions! :)

BCP is the beneficiary and it's to raise funds for operating expenses. The cello pad is draped on the back and a velcro strap goes beneath the fingerboard and attaches to the other side to secure the pad. It's so you don't rub the back of the cello and damage the varnish. I have scratches from buttons on the back of my cello. Here's their website:

I can't wait to see VOW again. They were awesome when they played in Louisville in December!
