Getting the most out of InDesign

Getting the most out of InDesign

You already know the basics: InDesign is for page layout. In this presentation, we'll go beyond just placing pictures and text to talk about features for professionals:

Paragraph and Character Styles
Creating a Table of Contents (and using it as clickable navigation in a PDF
A bit about the Book feature (and why you might use it for more than just books) and more.

Email [masked] if you have suggestions for the presentation.

Betty Taylor, detail-obsessed graphic designer, has been putting together pictures and words to communicate messages for close to 20 years. She works with clients on everything from food packaging to long document layout. Betty has been an enthusiastic fan of Adobe InDesign since it was first introduced, and offers training for both beginners and experts.

This is a potluck meeting so bring a dish to share.

    Folks,

I would love to attend this, but I am now on Longmont City Council and will not be able to attend any Tuesday session for the next four years. Yes, it is a something of a sentence.

i will be thinking of you all.

Wish I could make it on the 26th to meet everyone, but my in-laws arrive that day. Hope to see you all at the next event!

I hope to carpool from Frasier Meadows area, if possible. Tho an InDesign "virgin" I had years of Photoshop and some graphic design coursework. I can brush-up on all features, so I may get the most out of the session. Have been a student of design for decades, and generally a fast learner, often teaching myself whatever I can, learning from online tutorials (in the late 1990's).

I wish I could make the meeting on InDesign. I'm very bummed. I just found out today I have to attend a work function that night.

It sounds like it will be a great presentation. Can't wait to learn from the InDesign Guru.
