A City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks event:
Join naturalist Ellen Orleans for story time at the Chautauqua Ranger Cottage. This lively reading features colorful picture books and the chance to join in the fun with animal noises, foot stomping, and our own observations. At 10:30, we’ll leave for our Signs of Spring scavenger hike outdoors, which gives children the chance to look, listen, and touch as we walk an easy path nearby. This activity is geared toward 2 to 5 year olds, but open to all. Please bring weather-appropriate clothes, water, and a snack if you’d like.
Natural Selections hikes, offered by City of Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks, are free staff-guided programs to explore parts of the OSMP system. Topics include natural and cultural history of the Boulder area. Bring a snack, water and wear comfortable clothes and shoes for hiking. Please leave dogs at home.
