I love both fiction and non-fiction. I hate trashy romance novels and anything written for teenagers. Recent favorites include Little Bee, Three Cups of Tea, and Water for Elephants (the book, not the movie).
I prefer moderate to challenging hikes.

Great idea Kristin offering this combination of impulses--going out and going in, hiking and reading! My suggestion, sometime, without benefit of yet finding your list is the Meadow by James Galvin. Haven't read it but once 18 or so years ago, but it still sticks with me. The meadow is in eastern Colorado and it is a highly creative nonfiction...or seemingly historicized fiction...? Poetic and psychological too--best I can recall.
It was fun to hang out with you guys last nite! Hope to see ya' soon at the next Meet up!
Glad you're back on board - we missed you at BLF4M+W!!
This is a reply to your post for Estes Park hike Could not find a way to respond in that email itself.

Can the book be found at Boulder Bookstore or any bookstore? It is better for the author to have purchases be made from local bookstores.
We've missed you at the Book Club, and are back onboard as a Meetup again!
