From Mahler to Monk. I've been studying jazz seriously for the past five years. I play straight jazz ( including RealBook standards, blues, bebop, Latin, ballads, modal. Read music, charts, solo, improv, harmony. Genre: Miles Davis, T. Monk, Wayne Shorter, Oliver Nelson, Coltrane, Jobim, Horace Silver, Benny Golson, compositions by Rufus Reid, David Baker, etc. Classically-developed lyricism with jazz voicings. You can contact me directly at [masked] .
I'm available to join your combo for occasional gigs when you want to add a warm, jazzy violin sound, or to get together to jam!
Great news -- we have over 200 members! Hopefully some of you -- most of you -- are attending jazz events you see on the calendar, from time to time. Or looking up specific members to play with ("I need a keyboard player for this gig..." etc.). Jazz is a big thing in the Boulder area -- we have a lot of really talented musicians, and a lot of jazz fans. Keep coming, and if you have any specific questions, email me directly at email@example.com . Jane
