Hi Jane. We spoke with you last Sunday at your home, about hosting a rehearsal/pot luck again but at the Mary Miller Theater in Lafayette. I have spoken with the city stff and found out that every Saturday & Sunday in September are open! I told them that I would rent it for a private function for about 4 hours, afternoon or evening. Alcohol is allowed in the building but food must be kept on a  deck in the back. Please let me know if we could arrange this. We (Rex Flint) and myself are excited about hosting such an event in a great location like the Mary Miller Theater. I also want to discuss with the group getting a not for profit status and hosting events where wine/beer could be sold to the public and the event opened up for fans. Maybe? Rex is also looking into recording options in this space.

Date: Fri, 19 Aug[masked]:43:59 -0400

Reminder:    Jazz jam pot luck at my house in Louisville

Sunday, Aug. 21, 4 - 7pm

We've got a lot of great RSVP's from players, including:

Laurie Dameron, guitar
Barron Beshoar, guitar
Scott McLaren, guitar
Dana - guitar, voice
Danny Meyer, sax
Bob Kropfli, sax
Eric  - sax, clarinet, and flute
Tim, flute
Orvel Wilson - drums
Steve Druilhet - drums
Carmen Sandim, keyboard
Bill Fairchild, keyboard
Dan Ault - violin
Jane Uitti - violin

We still need a bass player or two!   If you know one, bring 'em along!

Again, if you don't already have my address, email me directly at [address removed] and I will send you directions.

I have an OK guitar amp and a good keyboard.   The guitar amp is average, so if you prefer your own, bring it.

There are also a few dozen jazz lovers who are coming to listen, hang out, enjoy the potluck, and meet the musicians.

If you're bringing potluck stuff, keep it very simple:  finger snack foods (chips, dips, cheese, stuff like that) or a beverage, like wine, beer, or non-alcoholic.
