Long Run Saturday

Vanessa will be leading this Saturday's run, as I will be in Big Sur for my marathon.  She has also extended this meetup to the Boulder Women's Running Group, so you'll get a chance to meet people from both groups.  There's a bit of elevation gain, but you can always hike/walk those sections.

Vanessa, Andy and Patti are all planning on running at least 12 miles (some up to 16), but rest assured you can set your own mileage and turn back at any time, or do the loop with the group.  You'll have plenty of options.

The general plan is to run the South Boulder Creek Trail, then connect to Mesa.  Vanessa will have a route planned out.

I highly recommend this Google Pedometer site as a user friendly way for you to chart your distance on any road or trail:   http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/

Hey sorry to bow out of running this but I have a race in a week and I need a gentle flat paved 16 miles for my long run this week. The grade would trash my quads too much.

Thanks Meg. I belong to another running group so I'll join them. They're running 10 and I'm doing 16. At a 10:30 pace. You're welcome to come if you don't want to run trails. Although I can appreciate if that is too slow for you.

Gotcha Patti. Yeah, that is a bit slower (and later) than I'd like to go. Hope to meet you on Sunday!

Hey Vanessa - I'm just going to run on my own on Saturday. Hope we can do Marshall Mesa soon though!

Sorry, but I have to bow out as well....wife wants to run too (which I am sooooo excited about...she has refused for years), and she wants something flat and easy.

    Can't make this Saturday.
At the Wednesday night Boulder Running Company group run I WON a FREE entry to the Boulder Distance Classic. Yeah - finally won something. My hamstring is still bothering me but I will run the race anyway (never was very good at making smart choices). I will treat it as an hard training run and not try to re-injure the hamstring.
    Have fun on Saturday morning.

I've got 16 miles that day. Or about 2:45 in time. I know Andy is training for IMBO and the course is the creek path so perhaps we run there for a change?

Hey Patti - I'll join you ahead of time if you want some company - 16 sounds about right for me.
