Since last week's ride was rained-out, let's try this again!
Come join the Boulder Mountainbike Alliance for an after-work ride the South Sourdough Trail this Wednesday. We are continuing the weekly BOSS (Blow Off Some Steam) rides with another Boulder County location. The ride is open to non-members as well as members and is a no-drop, intermediate, co-ed ride.
This week we'll ride the South Sourdough Trail. This trail is one of the highest elevation trails in Boulder County. Combine thin air with some technical sections of trail and you have a challenging ride! That said, it's a beautiful area and one of the few times of the year it can be ridden after work. We'll ride the trail as an out-and-back and attempt to cover as much trail as possible before dark. Altogether expect about 2 hours of riding.
Afterwards we head to Wild Mountain Smokehouse & Brewery to refill the tanks and enjoy some tasty brews.
There will be an organized carpool for this ride. Meet at the Boulder County Justice Center (SE corner of Canyon and 6th St.) by 5:20 with a departure at 5:30 sharp! If you'd like to meet us there we'll park at the Rainbow Lakes/CU Mountain Research Center trailhead parking lot. Plan to be there by 6:15 and hit the trail at 6:30 PM.
