Betasso MTB Ride - SUNNY Sunday

Sunday looks to be a really nice day and the trails at Betasso are SO SWEET and firm with the recent snow [no mud though].

Plan is to ride [or walk] up the canyon connector trail and do both loops. Looking for more of an intermediate pace but we will stop to regroup. The short connector trail is slightly technical but the upper loops are pretty darn smooth.

Let's meet at the south west corner of the Justice Center parking lot near the creek path. Remember the time change Saturday night! Which means at 10:30 it should be getting pretty warm.

Figure we will return around 1 pm.
Pizza lunch and beer or something similar for lunch if the group is game.

Betasso itself is pretty easy. Haven't been on Benjamin since it was built, but my friend (female) rides her freakin Cross bike on it. So, can't be too challenging. the connector trail from the canyon IS a challenge, both up and especially down the last part. I am assuming we're taking the connector trail (Links Trail) from Canyon, NOT the new one from Fourmile canyon? someone, pls advise me?...

We are ascending the connector trail out of Boulder Canyon, not 4-Mile

The ride starts at the Justice Center and rides up the canyon ? If so, at least a good warm up before the connector trail.

Andrea. We are riding the legal trail from Boulder Canyon - I just tend to call it the connector trail - maybe the proper name is the Links trail. See you tomorrow

Dave- thx for clarification. I'll go easy today at Marshall Mesa/Springbrook Loop. There are two trails that lead up to Betasso now-- confusingly, both have the nickname "Connector Trail", but I thought the one from Canyon Drive (not Fourmile) is officially called the Links Connector Trail. Not sure the official name of the new one from Fourmile, but, I may try to take that back down. sounds like it's fun.

Jeff. We are pedaling right from justice center and up boulder canyon and up the connector/links trail. you are correct that the links trail is the steep part - rest is moderate
