It's Sanitas time!
Meet on the north/hospital side of the road, at the trail map which is approx. 1/4 mile slightly uphill on the trail. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, either by the hospital, off the pavement on the opposite side, or further up the road at the Centenial Trailhead.
Sanitas is generally rated moderate strenuous. It's a great cardio burn for those who are getting acclimated or want a good work out.
At the trail map we will take the trail to the left, which climbs steeply with several wood/rock steps. There are two or three false summits which provide good resting spots we head up.
The summit provides a great view of North Boulder and to the opposite glimpses of Indian Peaks. After a steep gravely descent the trail turns into switchbacks then into a straight "stroll in the park" to the trail map again.
Come join the group for a Sanitas experience!
