Do you love to hike, but hate feeling like you're the last one struggling to keep up in a group of seemingly ridiculously fast-paced hikers? Me too. I'm going to blame it on the fact that I "recently" moved here and am still adjusting to the elevation...although, in reality, that's just a bald-faced lie at this point, given I've been here 6 months. Let's face it, I'm just out of shape. Whatever. I still like hiking, but just need to catch my breath a lot, okay?
If this sounds like you, let's go hiking together! I have a dog that I'll definitely be bringing along, and if you have a four-legged furry friend you should bring them along too (this trail is green tag OK)!
I'm thinking we could do the South Mesa/Shadow Canyon trail, across from Doudy Draw off of Eldorado Springs Dr. (Shadow Canyon trail for reals this time! If you went last week, it should still be fun, and I'm planning on branching off into a different trail from the one we took.)
10am on Sat. the 22nd! If it's raining that day, I will plan on going the next day (Sun. the 23rd), same place, same time. I discovered that West Flanders has awesome food and beer, so if anyone is up for going for lunch/drinks afterward (which is what we did last time, and it was lots of fun) that'd be great. :)
If you are like me and get lost really easily, feel free to call my cell at [masked]-2823. :)
