Do you love to hike, but hate feeling like you're the last one struggling to keep up in a group of seemingly ridiculously fast-paced hikers? Me too. I'm going to blame it on the fact that I "recently" moved here and am still adjusting to the elevation...although, in reality, that's just a bald-faced lie at this point, given I've been here 6 months. Let's face it, I'm just out of shape. Whatever. I still like hiking, but just need to catch my breath a lot, okay?
If this sounds like you, let's go hiking together! I have a dog that I'll definitely be bringing along, and if you have a four-legged furry friend you should bring them along too (this trail is green tag OK)!
I am going to try to make this a recurring meetup event for every weekend -- mostly on Saturdays (I might switch it to Sunday some weeks, or make it a bit later, so I can hit up the Boulder Farmer's Market during the summer). And after the hike, let's all go out for lunch and beer! Or, if you can't make the hike, simply come join us for food/drinks. :)
This week I thought we could try hiking the 3rd Flatirons trail out of Chautauqua on Saturday at 10:30am (I think it's a bit of a shorter hike, like an hour or so). WARNING: Parking can be a b*tch. It might be a good idea to meet at the Boulder Public Library (or somewhere else, I'm open to suggestions) at 10:15am instead and carpool over to Chautauqua. Anyone want to do this?
Feel free to call my cell at [masked] if you get lost, or would just like to join the group for lunch afterwards so I can let you know where we are.
