When I first came to Colorado I saw Vampire Weekend, with Dum-Dum Girls opening, at Red Rocks. Since then all my live music experiences have been bands and individuals nobody has ever heard of in tiny venues or basements or bars (and the occasional living room). At least half the music I listen to is tracks that people send me, or links to youtube videos. Most of the rest is on web radio. I like a good show and I try to support new music, wherever I may find it.
Life is a guilty pleasure. Songs narrate as you go.
This is in the realm of "what's your favorite band" or "what's your favorite book" which is really only one impossible abstraction and reduction level away from "what's your favorite color" and the only possible answers to that question are "piss off" and "black". So I'll go with "black". I believe Joey Ramone once said that was his favorite color as well so I'm in good company.
Always on the lookout for rock n' roll. My definition of that term applies to a wide range of acts.
