Meeting time is 9:00 am Fairview Shopping Center.(9:45 at Good Springs Church Trailhead)

People traveling from Bowling Green can meet up in the Fairview Shopping Center Parking lot at 9 AM to Carpool/ caravan up to Mammoth Cave National Park. At 9:45AM, we will head out from the Good Spring Church parking lot and start hiking the trail to the bluffs campsite. We'll stop at the Bluffs Campsite to enjoy the view and have some lunch. Be sure to wear appropriate clothes and boots with good ankle support. Bring plenty of water and lunch. If you are traveling directly to the park (i.e., not coming to Fairview Plaza to carpool) let Steven know not to wait for you at the plaza. If you are going straight to the trail head, drive north on Green River Ferry Road over the river and proceed 3.4 miles and take a left on Maple Springs Road. Travel 1 mile to the Maple Spring parking lot and continue past it and take a left on the gravel road that goes to Good Spring Church. See the link below for a map of the park.

I plan to hike a longer loop, so those that do not want to hike as far will be able to follow the good springs trail back to the church. The additional section I plan to do will make the hike about 10 to 11 miles.

I was planning to do McCoy hollow to the creek and back Sunday. That would be a 10 to 12 mile hike.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
