Mammoth Cave - Echo River Trail/ Mammoth Dome Sink Loop

Come out and join us for a hike along the Green River in Mammoth Cave National Park. We'll start out by the Green River Ferry before heading to the camera overlook and looping back to the parking lot via Mammoth Dome Sink Loop.

Meeting time: 1:00 PM in Bowling Green, 1:45 at trail head
Hike Distance: 5 miles
Estimated Hike Time: 3 hours
Difficulty: moderate
Well behaved dogs are welcome - Mammoth Cave has a strict leash law
People traveling from Bowling Green can meet up in the Fairview Shopping Center Parking lot at 1:0 PM to Carpool/ caravan up to Mammoth Cave National Park. At 1:45AM, we will start hiking at the trail head by the parking lot next to the Green River Ferry and travel along the river going past Echo River Spring and River Styx Spring. Next well climb up to the scenic overlook at Sunset Point and follow Mammoth Dome Sink trail back to the parking area. If you know you will be meeting up with the group at the trailhead, please post it in your response so we'll know not to wait on you at the shopping center.
