Citizens Climate Lobby Training

Citizens Climate Lobby (CCL) is a grassroots, volunteer-driven nonprofit working to address climate change primarily through the passage of a consumer-friendly tax on carbon, where all collected revenue is returned to Americans on an equitable basis, thereby protecting the poor and middle class.

Our 3-hour workshop training, which will launch the Bozeman CCL group, will be led by Lynate Pettengill, CCL Regional Coordinator from Lawrence, KS. During our time together we will be discussing how a consumer-friendly tax on carbon works and why it's one of our best bets to address climate change (this is what Dr. James Hansen, world renown climate scientist, is advocating). For more information, check out CCL's website:

We'll also be covering and practicing specific techniques which CCL uses to lobby for the passage of carbon tax legislation. We'll work hard, play hard, and when it's all said and done, Bozeman's CCL Chapter will be ready to go! And you're guaranteed to feel more hopeful about our prospects of effectively addressing climate change after attending this workshop!

Please contact Kristen Walser at[masked] or [masked] for more information or if you would like to co-sponsor this training.

At the "Do the Math" film, James Hansen reiterated the necessity for a carbon tax! Here's our chance to effect change, especially with Baucus in flux.
