Dear Bozeman Climate Alliance Members,
I'm abusing your inboxes today to let you know about two opportunities for climate action:
- The City of Bozeman is forming 3 working groups to carry out parts of the Bozeman Community Climate Action Plan. One will work to create community awareness and engagement around Climate Change, another will create an energy-use benchmarking system for Bozeman buildings, and the third will create an anti-idling program. The city is looking for thoughtful, passionate people who like to work hard and enjoy themselves doing it, to participate in these groups. If you'd like to participate, email Natalie Meyer, the program coordinator, at [address removed], or call her at[masked]-2371. Please consider it, you lovely person you.
- On Saturday at Bozeman's big yearly Christmas Stroll on Main Street, the indomitable Kristen Walser and yours truly will be hanging out in front of Wild Joe's Coffee, hopefully dressed as Elves, talking about how Santa's home is melting thanks to climate change, how people can help, and handing out pamphlets. Stop by and say hello and help us get our message out. Your friendliness will help keep us warm despite our flimsy green leggings (we haven't secured the costumes yet, so we could end up being dressed in our normal clothes, but we *really* hope we can get the costumes.)
