LA-ADHD and ADD at Alternatives: Mindfulness and ADHD

A discussion of adult ADHD challenges and strategies hosted by cognitive neuroscientist Andrew Hill.  There is no charge for our members.  Please rsvp if you are coming and change your rsvp to no if your plans change.  There is free parking after 6 pm on the street.

"Hi folks, For June we will have some discussion and practice around Mindfulness for ADHD.  

One or more of our mindfulness facilitators (from the Alternatives Brain Institute) will talk about some of the evidence and benefits of mindfulness and meditation techniques as well as lead some mindfulness practice.

The meeting starts at 6:30 pm, and there is free street parking after 6pm.  Alternatives is at 822 S. Robertson Blvd, Suite 300.  It's the 3rd floor of a big red brick building on the East side of the street.  The numbers the west side of the street do not match, so don't get fooled.

    I really appreciated how the interesting information was presented in various ways, and the experiential portion really helped me.     I get off work around 5:30 in Santa Clarita, so I may be about 15 minutes late. Would this be alright? I was recently diagnosed with ADHD, and I want to become more mindful! :-)

      Sure! The official start time is 6:30, but the first 15-20 min of that are usually slow arrivals and chatting, and then we begin about 6:45, so that's probably about perfect. Even being a bit late is ok, though - please come!

    Men outnumber women with ADHD but apparently they start to catch up in adulthood. I love men but hope a fair amount of women who have been impacted by ADHD since childhood will show up. This is my first opportunity to attend such a group. I was very disappointed when I missed the last meeting but I plan to make this a regular thing.
