What about your brain fascinates you most?

The brain is where the "intersection of the physical and the spiritual" happens. That there exists a mere biological organ whereby we might "connect" with both all this universe has to offer, as well as that which is beyond and underlying it, is an amazing reality. As well, a point of fascination for myself and many, are the many "physical" (biological, thermodynamic, etc.) underpinnings of brain-function.

We explore brain health, physiology, psychology, medicine, consciousness, metaphysics and physics. What areas are you most interested in?

One of my life-goals is to figure out - or, get as close as I can do doing so - the (fore-mentioned) intersection of the physical and the spiritual. I think that answering this question, will not only lead the the unification of science and spirituality, but also be the inception of resolution to many of the deep chasms we see in society today I am well aware, of course, that there are many who deny any such transcendent claims in the first place. But denying the spiritual, is kind of like denying the air you breathe - though not visible, if it weren't there, you'd know about it... or, not know about any of it in the first place, as it were. At any rate, this inquiry spans a wide range of disciplines, and therefore any that touch on it, are of interest to me.

What do you want to learn about through our meetups?

1. Those that explore that which I've mentioned above - topics from a metaphysical perspective. 2. Really, any that explore the topic consciousness... am interested as well, if from a "materialistic" viewpoint - just not a "preachy materialistic" one! 3. Those that explore research being done in fields such as bio-feedback, and other technologies being used to address neurological issues.

Any other comments?
