We are starting this group because there seems to be all sorts of groups for Moms, but none for both Moms and Dads (and kids). We like spending our weekends together as a family, are fairly new to the area, and welcome the opportunity to meet up with other families that like keeping busy - as a family. This group is for parents of preschoolers who genuinely enjoy spending their free time with their child(ren). We like to bring them with us wherever we go and try to always take them into consideration when making plans. Whether you're new to the area, new to parenthood altogether, or just want to meet up with other parents who like being parents, this may be a fun group for you to join. We just ask that you respect others' parenting styles - let's just hang out and have fun!

Intent of the Group:

If you're doing something fun with the kids and wouldn't mind if others did it too, I would like to encourage you schedule it as a meetup. As soon as any member suggests a meetup, it schedules it. 

That way, if we say we're going to the Delaware Children's Museum, for example, and 3 or 4 other parents think "Hey, that sounds fun", then we can coordinate times and meetup. So, not only does it provide the opportunity to meet new parents, even if you can't make it at that time, hearing about it may introduce other members to other kid friendly activities in the area that they may have not otherwise known about. 

It's pretty informal, and I want to keep it that way - So if a member schedules a meetup, the attitude should be:

Want to come - Great, see you there! 
Want to come, but our kids are on opposite schedules - Not much we can do about that - glad you're going and have fun!
Don't want to come - No worries, catch ya next time!
