Brandywine Valley Writers Group Meetup

Novelist Donna Galanti

continues our series on the

Craft of Fiction

Donna Galanti describes herself as a “hybrid” writer. She writes suspense, young adult, and middle grade fiction. She has published independently as well as through an agent. For her paranormal suspense novel, A Human Element, she was named an International Thriller Writers Debut Author, and the novel’s sequel, A Hidden Element, is coming out this summer from Imajin Books. And as if all that were not enough to stir our envy, Books One and Two of her middle grade series, Joshua and the Lightning Road, will be coming out in 2015 from Month9Books. How does she do it all? Come find out.

Donna is a member of International Thriller Writers (ITW), Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators, Pennwriters , and The Greater Lehigh Valley Writers Group. She is also a contributing editor to ITW’s online magazine, The Big Thrill, and blogs for Algonquin Redux. You can read more about her at www.donnagalanti.com

Although meetings officially start at 7:00 pm, many of us show up early to have a meal and catch up with each other. You can also order food and drink (on your own tab) throughout the meeting. The program generally lasts approximately 75 minutes. However, people stay as long as they like after the official program and we sometimes close the place.

Officers of the group are currently:

• Mark A.R. Mitchell - President

• James Breslin - Vice President

• Jurgen Flood - Treasurer

• Wayne A. "Tony" Conaway - Publicity

• [OPEN] - Secretary

• Gary Zenker - PR Advertising and Meetup Administrator

• Dick Lolla - Web Site Administrator

Please check the event schedule for information on the programs and for additional meeting content and locations. You can find additional information on our Facebook page and on our web site: www.bvwg.org.

Acting on Donna's recommendation about the importance of social media, I'm inviting all BVWGers to Like me on Facebook! (Look for the Page with my picture on it and a photo of me signing a book--if you Friend me on my Timeline, you'll just get a lot of pictures of my dogs.) Also please drop me a note via annkinnear.com and I will send you monthly updates on promotional progress on "The Sense of Death" and writing progress on "The Sense of Reckoning" (plus you will be eligible for fabulous give-aways!). Wonderful talk by Donna!
