The December meeting is our annual holiday social! No scheduled program--just an opportunity to get together, talk about writing, writers, publishing, perishing, and topics of similar import. Appetizers will be on the BVWG, but you're responsible for your bar tab.
Which reminds me: Yes!-- the December meeting provides you with the chance you've been seeking to catch up on your annual dues of $30! We have switched to a calendar year system, so 2013 dues are due! Seek out BVWG Treasurer Jurgen Flood if you'd like to settle up with him. That said, if you have not become an official dues-paying member of the BVWG, please consider becoming one. The dues defray the cost of wining and dining our excellent speakers and they cover the cost of appetizers for events such as this one and our annual summer social. Furthermore, your status as an Official Dues-Paying Member earns you a place at the table during our critique sessions, which are typically held in the fall and spring. Anyone is welcome to come in to read and opine on the manuscripts we review, but only the manuscripts of dues-current members are eligible for review on those occasions.
So, seriously: do you need more motivation than that to part with $30?
Come on out! Tuesday the 18th of December, 7 pm on the second floor of Ryan's Pub. We'll see you there.
NOTE: Gay Street is one way, going West, and parking in front of the venue is metered. Bring quarters to feed the meter, as the meters are live till 9 pm! There are several municipal parking lots in the neighborhood.
Please note that the meeting room is on the second floor of Ryan's Pub and is, regrettably, not handicapped accessible.
