As far as events is concerned, get togethers at Brasilian restaurants, discos, literary events and the like would be great.
The only Brasilian Portuguese I know is "obrigada," (if I'm spelling it right) "bom dia," and things like that. I understand it a little because I speak Spanish. It's my first language.
Unfortunately, I have never been to Brasil, which I would like to do sometime in this lifetime, specifically to be at the carnaval in Rio.
Hi!!! What can I tell you? I've been dying to learn Portuguese for years, and never found anyone or any group to learn it with... until now. I particularly like Brazilian Portuguese because to me it sounds as if people sing when they speak.
