I've been to one movie club meet-up already-- to see "The Artist" in January-- and enjoyed it. It's a good way to have a social experience with different people, for me.
'Bullitt' with Steve McQueen (when it came out people used to say I looked like Steve McQueen, which was not unpleasant...of course that was, as my son tells me, around 1968!) 'Gran Torino' with Clint Eastwood. Just to show I'm not stuck in the Sixties! Also, it was a good story, funny in places (the barber shop scene for instance) and had its heart in the right place, I thought. 'Raiders of the Lost Ark' with Harrison Ford. I remember taking my family, my two kids (now grown-up) and my late wife Jenny to see this when we were living in Australia in 1982, so it has fond memories...
I prefer going to the cinema.
My name is Roy and I was born in Brighton. I am interested simply in seeing some different films and meeting people and having a friendly chat from time to time.
