When we visited recently, the general view was that this is one of the better watering holes on the Kemptown eating scene! As they are open on Sundays, I thought we'd have a go at their Sunday lunch! Busby and Wilds is a modern pub/restaurant which is small, independent and run by a husband and wife team.
The whole place has a friendly and rather local vibe with a modern but comfortable setting. On Sundays, they do Roasts and some other items from their weekday menu, so there's lots of choice. Their wine list is well chosen and they have an intriguing range of bottled, as well as draught beers and lagers. The menu is short and fresh. Even if you live in Hove, it is well worth the trip into Kemptown! If you're going by bus, No.1 or 1a goes very close (get off at St. Mary's Hall). You then cross the road and walk down Rock Street. Busby and Wilds is 50 yards down on the right. Easy!
This is a lovely little place which will do well. We'll have a great Sunday lunch here, I'm sure!
