The Iron Duke has become a firm favourite of mine! The pub is warm and welcoming and serves wonderful Harveys ales. The best bit though, is the Thai cooking - the menu is varied and reasonably priced.
The bar area is spacious with a nice atmosphere but they also have a 'dining area' behind the bar for larger parties.
Their Thai menu has rightly gained a lot of fans! For more details of their menu and the pub generally, go to: www.irondukebrighton.co.uk
The Iron Duke is in Waterloo Street, right on the Brighton/Hove border. Very central, so no excuses for not coming! Many major bus routes run along Western Road. Your nearest stop would be Norfolk Square or possibly Brunswick Place. You then walk down Waterloo Street towards the sea and the pub is close to the seafront on the right.
This one's a real winner! It's an interesting pub - it even has its own theatre! And if anyone is tempted to have a few too many, you can always sleep over at their guest house!!
