As before I'll start with an initial 5 players again and dependent on how many Agricola sets we have confirmed for next time next time will increase the limit to 15 which is about the limit we can fit in the Caxton.

If you add yourself to the waitlist, you'll automatically RSVP as going as I change the limit.

As there are only limited spaces please un-RSVP yourself if you're not going to come.

Great first time playing Agricola. And thanks very much to Matt for explaining everything, great teacher.

      Glad you enjoyed yourself.

Found Caverna very, very interesting. Enough of a difference to Agricola for me to say it doesn't *quite* replace it. The fact that there are no Occupation or Minor Improvement cards dealt out at the beginning means you could, in theory, play the exact same strategy each time with Caverna, with very similar results, but the extra mechanics do make it very rewarding!

    Thanks for teaching Alex! :)

No problem! Interesting to play it with two. Although I think it might be tougher (judging from scoring). Well done on the win!

I had a lot of fun with Glass Road and Bohnanza too, and am now pretty convinced Uwe Rosenberg has at least two brains (whether or not he can now breed them to get a third, I'm not sure).

Depends if he slaughters one for some food tokens or not...

Just being having debates with myself about what qualifies as Euro. I'm definitely mostly up for Caverna at this one, but if it becomes a monthly or semi-regular thing, could start bringing things like El Grande and Archipelago. But are they Euro? El Grande looks euro, but plays a bit differently to the standard building a building-machine thing, while Archipelago doesn't look like a Euro, but clearly is one once you've started seeing it in action?
    Maybe.

Both are Euros. And it does not matter, El Grande is an amazing game, and that's all.

Hi Matt - Your last suggestion would work for me. I have played Caylus once or twice and haven't played Agricola (but would like to).

I think i'll go to this Sunday's meeting.
It will be my first time, so be gentle please xD

Don't worry. I'm quite happy to run introductory games of either Agricola or Caylus.

Matt, any thoughts on date for the next session? I'm going on hol next week so won't be around to confirm my availability (or copy of agricola!) and wouldn't want to miss out!

Hi Sarah, Will probably schedule the next one for a month(ish) from now. Can always put you in as a plus one if numbers fill up fast.

Well then ... I'll bring Le Havre, Caylus and Glass Road.

I can bring Caverna to this, if people feel that's appropriate. It's technically up to seven, but I reckon leaving a limit of five on it might be a good idea (as it could drag on a bit otherwise). Let me know if that's something people want, and I'll be 'the third set'.

Enrique, was just thinking the same!

"Caverna, Caylus, Burgundy, Tzolk'in or Le Havre." That's heaven for me, I have three of those in Spain and have no plaid Caylus in ages, I'll see if I can find a couple of hours that sunday to play one thing at least.

Sigh. I've been roped in to baking a fantastically elaborate child's birthday cake today *grumble grumble*

I'm in, it's already set for 15 players though? I have my set :)

That'll be because I forgot to change the numbers! When I get back from work I'll change it.

Is this the bank holiday weekend? I have a sneaky suspicion I'll be dragged off camping.

    May 4, 2014

    • Matt

Yes, I didn't look at that when booking sorry. The next date after this I could do was 15th June.
