Acoustic jam session - change of date!

Change of date - this session will run on Thursday evening (28th Nov) this week rather than the usual Wednesday slot.

Bring your guitar (harmonica, ukele, bongos, violin or other acoustic instrument...) and any music you want to play e.g. chords, lyrics etc. If you are playing guitar, it would be useful if you could bring along a "capo" so we can be more versatile with changing key for the vocals...

Bring along any drinks or snacks you want for the evening.

My flat is in the building north of the Lidl store and near the roundabout. The entrance to the block is immediately behind the bus shelter. Any problems give me a ring [masked]).

There is a £1 cost per person for each of these session, payable on the evening. This is to cover the fee charged to me by "Meet up" to run these events (approx. £50 every 6 months).

Hi, Guys, couldn't book for tomorrow as I have other plans but I would've been too slow anyway! Wondered whether anyone was up for a lunchtime/evening social in December (a beer or two) to cap off a brilliant year of music with BAJ (and look forward to wherever it leads).

Yes, certainly up for a December social, especially if it was musically orientated too.

Stef is right, what was to be a 4 or 5 day visit has been extended in order to remove a chimney stack. I will be heading back on Saturday now...maybe catch up at an extra rehearsal....regards...Pete

Don't want to crowd anyone, but unless I've gotten some wires badly crossed here, it looks like Pete's stuck in Wales and can't make the session? If so, let me know and I'll happily drop in!

They all sound like great suggestions John. I also thought about the following two songs: "On the road again" (Canned Heat) and "I hear them all" (Old Crow medicine show). I will get the chords/lyrics sorted for these two...

As the Stereophonics are in town next month how about Dakota or Handbags and Gladrags for Thursday. Here's a solo acoustic version of Dakota. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D04c1wu6gaQ and a sort of acoustic version of H&G

we can replace the sax with harmonica. Other suggestions: Candy,Dirty Old Town,Save The Last Dance for Me,Walk Right Back. Candy and Dirty Old Town are in the files. I will stick the others in just in case anyone fancies playing them.
