Producing a Fashion Shoot from Start to Finish.
Join us for a day of education, creativity, collaboration and photography.
More often than not, a professional photographer is called upon to do so much more than take photos. You need to be art director, producer, creative consultant and more. If you've ever wanted to make images for a client rather than simply take them, join us for a day long workshop that introduces various aspects of producing a professional shoot for a fashion client and get hands-on experience fulfilling a client brief.
Being a good shoot director means having at least some understanding of the roles of each of your team members. Not only will you hear from the crew members essential to making the shoot happen, you will learn skills for preparing for, producing and organizing a successful shoot, tips and tricks for communicating your vision to your team members and working to a brief.
Workshop participants will work towards fulfilling a specific client's advertising brief by collaborating with their fellow students in small group discussions and by individually shooting with models.
You'll need to bring your own camera. Triggers, lights and modifiers will be provided.
The concept in the brief calls for clothing made from disposable materials to complement the client's product. Thus, all workshop participants are also asked to bring along one item of disposable household material that could be utilised as a prop: e.g. a roll of cling film, cellophane (any colour), aluminum foil or bubble wrap or similar.
Once you have RSVPed please post a comment below letting us know which material you will be bringing along as a prop.
Limited to 12 workshop participants.
