The Crazy World of Arthur Brown

  • November 21, 2012 · 7:30 PM

Cast your mind back to when dinosaurs made majestic strides across the Earth, back when the world was only seen in black and white - it was in the late sixties and the words "I am the god of hellfire!" were first screeched by a man with his head on fire; definitely not in the early nineties when the Prodigy's "Fire" brought those sampled words to a new generation.

Enter the Crazy World of Arthur Brown, a short lived band which were a bit of a one hit wonder back in the 60s. Arthur was not idle in the years following the exit of his Crazy World. He later formed Kingdom Come in the 70s and has been involved in numerous collaborations since then. In the naughties Arthur went on to resurrect his Crazy World.

With this small slice of British music history expect a bit of 60s psychedelia and theatrics. Quality by virtue of taste is not assured!

Fantastic evening. The support acts The Slytones and The Moulettes were worth seeing in their own right. Arthur was very funny, his voice was powerful as ever, the band were very tight and there was guest appearance by Z-Star for the last song.

    Hey Claire,

You should be absolutely fine. I mailed out my phone number yesterday morning. I've got 3 different photos on my profile, so between them it shouldn't be too hard to remember my face.

    See you all later on.

    Sorry to hear that Pete!

    For everyone else,

    Doors are at 7.30.

There are a couple of support acts to start with (Moulettes and The Slytones). I'll be outside at 7.20 - 7.25ish. I should be easy to recognise from my pictures for those who haven't met me yet.

I'll be keeping an eye out for you all.
