FIELD TRIIP! (Visit Little Free Libraries)

Yea! - We already have owner commitment for a great location for our Little Free Library!  (East Sac walkable neighborhood, near an elementary school)

So now, we want to design it. Got skills?  Artistic talents?  Just love books? (That last one is all that's really needed.)

Join us for this first step - a short field trip to look over other LFLs and collect more design ideas. We hope also to meet with a LFL owner/host or two, (They'll alert us to pros/cons - what they've learned by their designs and operations.)

(10:30-12:30) We will carpool to two or three of the LFLs closest by.

(12:30 - ?) We'll return to lunch and camaraderie at the Limelight. The accompanying libations will surely help us to hash out in conversation the gist of our vision for the SacBrightsAction Little Free Library design.

We had a GREAT time seeing Little Free Libraries in their "natural habitat" and hearing what we should and should not do from the stewards. Now to put it all together!

This was so much fun to see the variety in these LFLs and especially to chat with the 3 stewards. They are really providing a community service in their locations.

I learned a lot about how the Little Free Libraries work. I met some very nice people who operate successful libraries, and had a good time visiting with my Bright friends.

Excellent! We visited 4 Little Free Libraries and met 3 stewards. We took copious notes and made photos. I learned a lot and am very enthusiastic about this program!

Got a passion for reading? Concerned about getting books in the hands of kids? Never heard of Little Free Libraries? That's okay. It's easy to get up to speed by viewing the website <www.littlefreelibrary.org> and bringing your ideas/questions to the meeetup and field trip on Saturday 4/13.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
