Earth home building

  • Needs a date

  • Needs a location

  • Building a realistic home from soil, logs, clay, straw, and/or other natural materials. I'd like to learn how and to see how practical it would be. Prefer to meet at someones home that has a home like that.

Although this just ended, I thought I would share the announcement for future reference. Hopefully, they will have another event like it and more alternatives for transportation, as I like many do not own a car.

This is going to be a cob dancing party at dusk under the lights when it is cooler. We will show you how to create the cob and "throw" it. We will be working in our underground (4 ft) green house Walipini. 12 yrs of age and up are invited. You can also camp in primitive conditions if you would like. Bring a tent, a sleeping bag and plenty of water. Outhouse is there. Bring breakfast food to share or on your own.

Curious to the max: I don't have this type home, but do have rural properties in Juab County -- plenty interested to see if feasible, etc. For me, Date & Location matter. NtL, this MU is a priority for me, so please keep me in mind, yes?
