Soap Making Lessons - Cold Process

The best way to treat illness in a crisis situation is to prevent it from happening in the first place.

**Essential soap making class.**

This lesson will include:
2 hour private instruction from a fantastic  teacher.

Learn how to prepare your own soap with ingredients that you can buy at the grocery store.

**Be aware... that this can turn into a serious addiction!**

NOTE: Please leave children at home (safety concerns).

You can also purchase finished products afterward (lotion bars, lip balms, sugar scrubs, bath bombs, bath salts, wedding favors, etc.)

This class will take place after the holiday season in March 2015.

It was very fun. I'm glad I was able to go. I enjoyed it. Thank you Sheri & Sean for having it.
I think if you have it again. That if we pay a little money & for those who want to we could have a little of our own soap to take home with us.

Will there be another group forming for another day for those who are on the waiting list or do we show up still on Saturday? I would like to know so I know what to plan..

Yes, the Meet-up website will automatically update as spots become available. I will send out a reminder email to everyone so we can make sure we utilize all the spots available.

Is there anything we need to bring? And will you be sending out a reminder for people to confirm their RSVP's since some are still on the waiting list? I've seen meetups in the past where people didn't change their RSVP till the last minute and people on the waiting list really wanting to show up didn't get to go.

    March 5

    • Dan

Major Ditto. We're on the waiting list and we would be sad if there were open spots and they didn't get filled due to lack of communication.

Can you tell me what ingredients you will be using for the soap? Also, I am thinking of going, but would want to go in the evening or on a Saturday :)

    January 6

    • Sheri & S.

I believe she uses various ingredients to make her soaps and she will explain the benefits of using each. :)

The instructor said it needs to be a weekday evening. Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu evening. Anyone have a preferance?

Great news! I found a lady who makes soap professionally who will teach us for free! She does routine classes but she's very busy making soaps until after Christmas. She says the classes are an hour and a half to two hours long. But she'll also teach us how to add essential oils and natural fragrances. Does anyone have a preference between instructors? I love the idea of free, but January feels like a long way away. I just might have to do a knitting class to prep for the upcoming months and keep out hands busy? What do your think? How do you guys feel?

Sounds great. Free is always Great! Lol. Is there a limit of how many can go?

      August 15

    • Sheri & S.

No, I don't think so. I'll ask her and let you know for sure, but I think we can accommodate a fairly large group. :)

Tue, Wed, or Thurs evening are good for me. Not available last week in July. Aug 7 and 14 are busy, so not those days. Pretty open otherwise! Thanks.

Weekend or weekday ladies? I don't think we should wait any longer. I'd like to do this one before the summer ends. :)

    July 16

  • Kathryn M.

    it is ok with me.

    June 11

  • Sheri & S.

Right now we have 3 ladies signed up. So that would put the price at about $50 each. Is that good with everyone or should we wait for a few more to sign up?

  • Elizabeth Thompson M.

I would love to come. Let me know when, where and how much it is going to cost.

    June 9

  • Kathryn M.

I'll post on my facebook and see if we can wrangle up a few gals. Six would be a good size. Once you learn how to make soap, then you can do it forever.

Sorry I guess I was a little off....

Okay so here's the breakdown she sent me:
    Individually: $60 per person
    Two People: $55 each
    3-5 People: $50 each
    6-10 People: $45 each

Still expensive but at least it's a little cheaper than it was. She actually runs her own company and these are actual pictures of her products. She also does lotions and creams. :) I think it might be worth it if I can start making nice soaps and creams like hers :)

coming if you can get the bigger group so the price is cheaper, as you were telling us at the Aquaponics. Thanks.

I'm excited for this one. :)
