I'm finding lots of cool events at Bay Area Science Festival. More to come...
The SOBA community checks in on self-tracking, life-logging, and all things Quantified Self. Where does science fit into this movement, and can data really make us healthier?
Join us at swissnex San Francisco as Gary Wolf, co-founder of The Quantified Self, a global collaboration among users and makers of self-tracking tools exploring "self-knowledge through numbers," shares the potential of the movement for scientific discovery and health. Rachel Kalmar, a data scientist at Misfit Wearables explores devices, data, and what's wrong with how we currently share data. And UCSF's Dr. Tuhin Sinha reports on the Health eHeart Study, a large self-reported digital study in cardiovascular health, aimed at one million participants.
Presentations are followed by a panel discussion and audience Q&A. Continue the conversation at a nearby bar (to be announced at the event).
