I have picked the books for this month and they are posted in the June meetup.
Howard's End Is On The Landing - Susan Hill - 236 pages
The Book Of Rapture - Nikki Gemmell - 273 pages
June will be held at a new venue as the Plough Inn is undergoing renovations. I will post once I have a confirmed location. It will be on 25th June a tuesday this month as state of origin falls on the wednesday. Thanks to Bernadette for hosting for me this week. I really needed a night home and am starting to feel better.
This sunday is the very last Jam Jar. Very sad. So come along and support Scotty and see some great poets on full flight.
The next powerhouse for us is on 9th June but of course it is on every sunday.
Lifeline bookfest is on next weekend at the exhibition and convention centre. 8th-11th June
Have posted a stack of new events.
Ula has some marvellous events happening this month at the New Farm library. Don't forget also if you are a Pratchett fan to join fellow discworlders on 8th. Details on meetup.
As I am sick and cranky I thought this was a really good time to have a rant and send out a cranky email.
So no more abusive emails about emails please.
If you don't like the books I pick you are an adult and are perfectly capable of picking something else to read. Most of the people whinging to me don't even come to the monthly meetup. You will be thrown out of the group if I hear any more whinging. It really is ridiculous. I haven't read the books that are picked. We are discovering them together. If you don't like the format or prefer to read from one genre. join another bookclub. That is how it works here.
With that all said
