Since its opening in 1996, Tibetan Kitchen has been at the forefront of quality international cuisine.
The variety of food offered hails from the vast plateaus of the Himalayas, specialising in Tibetan, Nepalese and Sherpa cuisine.
Being the first established Tibetan restaurant in Queensland, the Kitchen's relaxing and warming atmosphere is truly reminiscent of a traditional Tibetan house. The food is made from freshly prepared traditional ingredients and various exotic spices that range from mild to fiery hot.

Expressions of interest are sought for your participation in an evening at the Tibetan Kitchen in Fortitude Valley.
Where do we meet?
Between 6:30 pm and 6:45 pm at Tempo, Brunswick Street (in the lounge bar) (formerly Dooleys).
How do we get to the Tibetan Kitchen
Train to Fortitude Valley Station and then a short walk; alternatively the Valley is central to many bus routes:
"We are located on the corner of Brunswick and Robertson Street, only 100 hundred metres away from the Fortitude Valley mall. You will find us on the left hand side of the road, just before Blockbusters. Keep your eyes out for the big Buddha Eyes on the restaurant windows."
How much do I pay?
The amount of $35.00 which is made up as follows: Food $27.00, Corkage $2.50, Tip $2.50 and Organiser's Fee $3.00
The restaurant is licensed but BYO wine is permitted. Corkage is as above. Coffee, tea, soft drinks available to buy on the night. If you intend on purchasing wine/beer at the restaurant, I will of course refund the corkage. In the event we can't have a cash bar, I will bring the trusty tin along so we can pay as we go.
What we get:
Mixed entree: Dips, Bread, Momo (dumplings), Spring Roll, Chicken Wings, Onion Pakora
Main meals: Jhinge (prawns), Khasi Ko Masu (lamb vindaloo), Aloo Chana (chickpea & potato curry), Miseko Tarkari (mixed vegetables in a curry sauce), Poleko Kukhura or Sherpa Chicken (chicken).
Dessert, Tea and Coffee are not included.
How does it work?
This is a pre-paid event. Once you RSVP I will then send you an email nearer the time with the banking details. The restaurant require final numbers by 5:30 pm on Thursday 11 October 2012 so I would require funds in from you by close of business on Wednesday 10 October 2012.
Can I get a refund?
The amount is non-refundable after 12 October 2012 unless you can find someone to take your place. Please note that $3.00 organiser's fee will be deducted from any refunds.
I have been to this restaurant before and from experience I know that this will be a most enjoyable evening. Please note that this venue is wheelchair-user friendly.
