Functional Breakfast with GOTO Chicago

The BFPG are coming together with GOTO Chicago in a first-time functional programming breakfast meetup courtesy of Dave Thomas!

Dave Thomas of Bederra Labs, organiser of the YOW! Conference and long-time partner of the BFPG has organised a GOTO meetup in Chicago with some stellar presentations from none other than Erik Meijer and Rich Hickey.

The BFPG has been invited to attend via a web conference so that we too can enjoy these talks from these functional programming figureheads.

This will be the first meeting in what we hope to be many that will bring together development communities from across the globe. We hope you can find the time to come and be part of it.

Always a pleasure to listen to Erik, and indeed a pleasure to hear Rich Hickey for the first time. He has a very cool perspective regarding stateful data. My brain feels suitably expanded for the day :)
