ohhhh that is an impossible one to answer. Can I take one form each medium? How about The Saints on vinyl, The National on mp3, Alkaline Trio on CD and one of the mixed cassettes friends made for me back in the 90's (yes, cassettes :0 - at least they are not 8-track! ,-) - so much love went into to making them I cannot part with them).
Wow, that is a hard one .… Social Distortion is one of my all time favourites but there are so many others that I like. What I listen to often depends on my mood at the time.
I suppose the most amazing would be the first one I went to: Depeche Mode at The Beacon Theatre in Manhattan back in the early 80's (before they went mainstream). It was mainly amazing because it was my first concert but the venue also made it intense. Other memorable shows would be The Violent Femmes at Carnegie Hall, J Mascis at Luxur (Cologne, Germany), Zen Guerrilla at The Underground (Cologne, Germany), Turbonegro (don't remember the name of the venue, somewhere in Germany), The Saints and The National at the Zoo, Beth Orton at St John's Cathedral, ….
I liked the Troubadour but that is shut now. Don't mind the Tivoli either. To be honest I have not been to many live shows since I moved to Brisbane because I do not really have anyone to go with, hence why I am joining this group. :)
Hello. Looking forward to the next gig.
