Hints of building Joomla sites fast - and more...

We have not had a meeting for a couple of months. How about people come along with their current challenges around Joomla. I'll also arrange a case study to be presented by a group member.

Something that seems to interest everyone is how to speed up the pace of development on sites so I'll arrange someone to give their take on this topic to start a lively discussion.

I'd also like to talk about our progress towards creating a powerful Content Constructor Kit implementation for Joomla in Jentla.

We'll fill out the details of the meeting early next week with names of presenters etc.

Please do consider coming along. We'll make sure this is a really interesting and informative meeting.

Meeting is in the Owen J Wordsworth Room; which is one of the best meeting rooms on campus!!!

You're in semester now, so I'd recommend you shoot for arriving around 6:30pm to deal with your parking or transport option.

Parking under the freeway will be hard, but you might get lucky closer to 7pm as some people leave post 6pm.

Alternative parking will be on the street in the city post 6pm, or at Kings Car Park crn Albert and Margaret, or at Myer Centre, or over at South Bank and walk ...

... walk across the Good Will Bridge. Public transport would most likely be bus into Myer Centre and walk up from there. About 10 to 15 minutes walk from Myer Centre.

Post meeting; if you want a coffee/feed, a fun spot is the Pancake Manor on Charlotte Street - 24 hours...

I really enjoy the diversity of users of Joomla. Hearing about the tipster site was really refreshing.

Hey guys, really enjoyed meeting a few new Jooms! Liked the relaxed format of the meeting & the pizza was a great touch! Was expecting a bit more about "building Joomla sites fast", but it was interesting to hear about Jentla & hear a few technical things that other people are doing! Really appreciated the work you put into hosting the evening. Cant wait for the next one!

Hey, I was late in my attendance to the meetup arriving just in time for pizza. However, when I finally arrived I heard and experienced professional presentation/s (the end of) about JomSocial and Jentla; discussions on relevant topics about Joomla and the surrounding technologies that help extend the world renown open-source CMS. An excellent meeting and I will be looking forward to others in the future.
