In this global economic crisis people really are looking to Free and Open Source solutions and Joomla in particular as a shining light as a brilliant FOSS CMS with very deep community and commercial support. Damian, would you see any value in having this day recorded on video and/or audio to become a resource for the greater Joomla community?

    Hi Everyone,

Does anyone know what the attire is for the day? Formal? Casual?

    Regards,

I thought the streams made the event much more relevant for a wider group of people. It seemed like lots of people gained from the day.

Having the three strands was an excellent idea, as the attendees were at very different levels of knowledge (from beginners to code writers) and were there for different purposes (e.g. business, personal, hobby). The venue was great, and the organisation was very good. Everyone knew where to go for the sessions. The content of the sessions was very good, and I was able to take away a few new ideas and bits of knowledge from every session that I attended. Thanks to the organisers, and thanks to the attendees!!

Joomla Day Brisbane was a stand out success. Thanks to everyone who was involved and especially to the organizers.
  • Graham Young
Damian, thanks for all the hard work. I thought the day was terrific, and I'm sure there will be lots of developments as a result of it.
  • Kate Lawrence
Well worth the effort! I learnt things and met people who both inspired me and I am sure will help me. It was encouraging to realise that we are all part of a vibrant and growing local Joomla community! And to think, just 6 months ago I thought no one in Brisbane was using Joomla! Now I know I am not alone and there are many other motivated people like me out there growing the platform. Thanks to everyone who came and helped to enrich the experience.
