I'll start the ball rolling. Managed to get in a mediocre shot before my camera started playing up. Better luck next time. Thanks for the night Colin.
That looks great, what happened to your camera?
Turned out to be the cheap Chinese rf shutter release I bought. Was doing strange things to my camera in bulb mode. I've ordered a cable type.
Good to know its a problem you can unplug and replace cheaply :)
Mike, that is fantastic. I love it the ferris wheel looks like the blades of a huge fan. Awesome.
Thanks Zuvi it's a pity most of the purple lights on the cars werent working.
Hey Mike love the lead in line of red flowers... nice.
It's great the way the foreground and all surrounding the ferris wheel is so crisp. Is that achieved by a really small aperture (larger f stop?) ? I was hoping for an effect like this but don't think I really caught it on the night.
Hi Joy. Yes keep the f stop at f8 or above to keep the depth of field as large as possible. My settings were 12mm lens, f8.0, 6secs, iso100.
The wide lens helps depth of field. I also use photoshop to remove noise and sharpen the whole image a little.
