I'm glad I braved the torrential rain on the M1 to make it to the meeting. Great people, great venue. Thanks for letting me park at your place Dave & Jason (sorry for making you "fashionably late") :)
Looking forward to future events...
Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,
I think all with agree with me that tonight's Saturday Night Social was an OUTSTANDING SUCCESS and that we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, having drinks, discussing many interesting topics and making lots of new friends.
THIS is what we hope Brisbane Atheists will aspire to be: a community of very happy, friendly people getting together to discuss shit that we don't believe in. Hooray!
But seriously, I hope that this will the first of many great Meetups to come.
I think the Hilton was a great place to hold the Meetup tonight, but let's mix it up a bit going forward... does anyone have any other suggestions for next time? The Marriott? Stamford? Sebel? (hehe)
Thanks so much to everyone who braved the weather to come. It was a great night!
I'll bring an umbrella. Doubles as a poker.

They have packed up and left early and gone home when it started to rain before. Fewer people go out when it rains and fewer people move around on the street so their audience dwindles. The May try to set up along the side but this blocks the walkway. They did this on a showery night a while ago.
Does OP 513 still come out if it's raining?
I am already shopping for a new collander!

Hey Dave, we might as well kill 2 birds with 1 stone and have a Reason Rally while we're at it got the numbers! :P
Good stuff Jake, thanks for that.
I'll bring mine. It's no DSLR, but it'll do the trick (unless anyone else has something sexy).
I'll bring my video camera also.
I have an ok camera, it's no DSLR, but it'll do.
Hey guys, this Meetup is gonna be huge! So huge infact that I'm going to call the Hilton today to reserve one of their long tables in the lobby bar area.
Also I think that this will be the perfect opportunity to get a new group photo of Brisbane Atheists to put up as our main Meetup photo! Does anyone have a good quality camera to bring along?

To those of you coming for the first time (or first time in a long time) I must thank you for your intention to join us for drinks at the Hilton this weekend.
This is going to be the first of what we hope will be many Meetups comprising a large group of Brisbane Atheists!
P.S. Has anyone any ideas for where we might host the next Saturday Night Social?

Sure is bro - the coffee was good and the atmosphere pretty darn nice... next month we'll find somewhere else to hang out. Ideas?
Hey is this the swish place we went to on Monday?

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
