Why or how did you become an Atheist?

I realised while going to a Christian primary school, that in order to believe in god I simply had to believe. And for god not to exist I simply didn't have to believe at all. That got the ball rolling- also it was really cool to not believe in god in a Christian school - rebel.

What do you want from Brisbane Atheist Meetup meeting?

It's hard living in a secular society. Interested in communities still. Alain de botton is encouraging.

How did you find out about our group?

I'm a training media teacher from the northern rivers of Nsw.
