You can opt in or opt out.
 
To opt out from the emails (but not from the Brisbane Atheists Meetup ? we?re actually a great bunch of people who, sadly, suffered a FLAME ATTACK from ?one of our own? - no matter how much Stephen tries to justify it, in this group, his post was a flame):
 
Go to http://www.meetup.com/account/?tab=comm (or, if you can?t get there from the link, go to www.meetup.com, log in, and go to Brisbane Atheists Meetup page.
 
Click on Account.  (It?s near the top right-hand corner of the page.)
 
Click on Membership and Communications tab.
 
Click on the Not At All button.
 
But, if you opt out, you may not receive emails which may be of importance.  The better option would be to add people to your ?blocked senders? list or, my personal favourite, hit the delete button!
