Wow, just wow. I always thought we were the scum of the Earth - nice to have it confirmed.
Thanks for the heads up Judith.

Yup - they're goddam creationists.
Bad ones too. If you look at their Science/Faith Introduction, you find in chapter 5 of a proposed text, ways of dealing with science. Of particular interest is - assimilation, conflict and rejection. Sure we're all familiar with intellectual dishonesty when it comes to religion, hypocrisy, and starting with your answer and discarding evidence till the remaining evidence appears to fit, but let's look at the actual UN definition of genocide.
Article 2 from the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide
In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:
(a) Killing members of the group;
(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about
its physical destruction in whole or in part;
(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.
- eg wage war on/conflict with, assimilate or reject/deny their existence.
These fuckers (excuse the term) are trying to commit intellectual genocide against science and reality! Kill what cannot support them, twist and stretch what can until it does, even though it only does through cursory inspection and the end result is completely contrary to reality, in order to preend their argument has credibility and suppress any uprising of thoughts or rebellion. New age stuff might become another religion, nip it in the bud.
Oh and as an aside, religious conceit and conviction motivated the stolen generation for up to 20 years after Australia had ratified point (e).
